Job summary

Land O'Lakes, Inc. is hiring a 1st Shift Production Operator to manage Towers/Line HACCP operations and related packaging lines. Located in Kiel, WI, you will monitor equipment, input production data, and help ensure quality and throughput on a fast-paced line.

Hours are 6:50am–2:50pm, with weekend/overtime as needed. Requires adaptability, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. A $2,500 hiring bonus is offered where applicable.

Pay: $27.55 per hour plus Shift Differential: $1.00 per hour (if applicable) Hiring Bonus: $2500 Shift & Working Hours: 6:50a-2:50p Weekends/Overtime/Holidays as needed.

Job Description

As the Towers/Line HACCP/640 Collator operator, the employee is responsible for monitoring the operation of the Towers, Line HACCP, 640 Collator, and overseeing and having working knowledge of the DMC, SMC, Towers, salt and Crystalban processes, Fines Savers, Boxer, and Curd Distribution Tank (CDT) as well as entering production information in the system.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 6 plus months of solid work experience in any industry
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to follow manufacturer's specifications and direction

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years or older
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Work in cold and/or hot temperatures throughout the day
• Adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Self-reliant and able to accurately work under limited supervision
• Ensures a safe working environment while performing assigned tasks
• Customer focused and able to work in a collaborative team
• Ability to be flexible in work performed and schedule
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions and possess basic mathematical skills
• Ability to lift/carry up to 55 lbs.
• Must promote and work well within a team-based environment
• Must be HACCP Reviewer and Monitor trained

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience communicating with supervisors and co-workers in a team environment
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is a plus
• Knowledge of various pieces of high-tech manufacturing processing and packaging equipment

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:

• Frequent movements include walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing and other active movements.
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment.
• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present.
• Shift schedules that include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays and periodic overtime.
• Routinely climbing stairs and ladders while performing the duties of this role.
