Job summary

Responsibilities

• Follow directions of Production Supervisor to assign daily duties.
• Observe equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety issues.
• Provide accurate, timely feedback to supervisor about daily production issues.
• Assist in daily equipment set-up to ensure the line runs on time.
• Complete checks and measurements, record accurately.
• Assist in training staff to ensure quality product.
• Support ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations for new hires.
• Work before department start time to assist area set-ups.
• Maintain punctual attendance; work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.

Description

Responsible forassistingthe Supervisor with duties in the assigned production area while ensuring that job tasks, assignments, and rotations are followed. The Lead will alsobe responsible forperforming a variety of production focused tasks to support the daily production goals.

Key Responsibilities

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, colorvisionand the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

• Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
• Must be able to work in damp and cold environments forlong periodsof time
• Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing forlong periodsof time, and operating processing equipment.
• This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
• Must be able work with raw and/or cooked meat
• The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
