Job summary

All Star Personnel is currently hiring a production associate for a health and beauty manufacturer in Smyrna, TN. This temporary to permanent position offers 1st shift at $15.00/hour and 2nd/3rd shifts at $16.50/hour.

Primary duties include operating packaging equipment, performing quality checks and following GMP/SOPs. Responsibilities also include coordinating with material handlers, verifying components, stacking finished goods on pallets and maintaining a clean production area.

Qualifications

• Operate packaging equipment safely and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform on-going quality checks on torque and fill levels.
• Follow GMP and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with material handlers to ensure component availability.
• Verify components by matching part numbers to paperwork.
• Load and monitor equipment to maintain smooth product flow.
• Rework on line as needed and stack finished product on pallets.
• Maintain clean production areas through housekeeping tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing checks to ensure product quality and torque accuracy.
• Adhere to GMP and SOPs throughout the shift.
• Coordinate needs with material handlers to ensure components are on hand.
• Verify components against paperwork by part numbers.
• Load, monitor, and maintain steady production flow.
• Perform on-line rework when required and palletize finished goods.
• Keep production area clean; perform sweeping, mopping and debris removal.

This temporary to permanent position. 1st shift - $15.00/hour (6:30am-2:45pm or 6:45am-3pm) 2nd shift - $16.50/hour (2:30pm-10:45pm or 2:45pm-11pm ) 3rd shift - $16.50/hour (10:30pm-7:45am or 10:45pm-7am )

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operate packaging equipment with respect to safety and report any unsafe conditions to the Coordinator or Manager.
• Conduct on-going quality checks to ensure proper torques, fill levels and overall quality of product is maintained.
• Follow GMP practices and follow Standard Operating Procedures.
• Inform material handlers in advance of component needs to ensure proper levels of components at each piece of equipment.
• Ability to verify components are correct by matching part numbers to paperwork.
• Ability to load and monitor each piece of equipment to maintain a smooth product flow.
• Perform in-process rework on line as it occurs.
• Ability to manually stack finished product on a pallet.
• Perform housekeeping functions that will include but not limited to the following: cleaning, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, removal of scrap corrugate from the production area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• CRITICAL TO THE JOB: Standing & walking – 90% of time on job; sitting 10% of time on job; lifting (minimum 30 lbs) 10% of time on job; - pushing & pulling (minimum 45 lbs) 35% of time on job; repeated rotation of the wrists - 66% of time on job; climbing stairs & ladders (8-20 ft heights) – 15 times per day; stooping, kneeling and bending - 60% of time on job; hearing; vision (fine detail – 80% of time on job; distance – 30 ft); tracking moving objects - 80% of the time on job.
