Job summary

CHEP in Hammond, LA is seeking a hands-on Pallet Repair Associate to join our busy supply chain team. You will follow repair guidelines to restore pallets, participate in daily production targets, and handle pallet movement while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You'll work with manual tools and PPE, perform visual inspections, and report safety concerns promptly. CHEP values practical problem solving and a hands-on approach to keep pallets moving across our network.

Qualifications

  • Experience with pallet repair or similar hands-on work preferred.
  • Ability to follow repair guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive manual tasks and lift heavy pallets.

Responsibilities

  • Pallet Repair: Follow repair guidelines to execute full pallet repairs including replacement of defective boards.
  • Efficiency and Productivity: Strive to meet daily production targets and move pallets (75 lbs drag/pull, 35 lbs nail gun).
  • Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and ensure adherence to repair guidelines and quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE daily.
