Job summary

Utility Metals is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the first shift (Mon-Thu, 10-hour days) in Louisville, KY. You will lead a manufacturing team, oversee production plans, and ensure safety and quality while meeting goals set by Plant Leadership.

You will manage a team on a powder coat paint line, interpret blueprints, train staff, review timecards, and maintain a clean, efficient work area. A minimum of two years of management experience in manufacturing and a high school diploma are

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with powder coat paint systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficiency with hand tools and operating machinery.
• Familiarity with basic math and measurements.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand long periods.
• Comfortable on a forklift and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Production Plan set by Plant Leadership.
• Interpret production drawings and specs to ensure team builds correctly.
• Inspect products for conformance to specs and quality.
• Troubleshoot repairs for equipment or materials.
• Manage safety across the team and machine usage.
• Review weekly timecards and manage schedules/time off.
• Train and develop team members.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Focus on building products.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Executing the Production Plan set by Plant Leadership

• Inspect products to verify conformance to specifications and quality of output
• Trouble shoot repairs needed for equipment and/or defective materials
• Manage safety of all employees and machine/tool usage
• Review and approve weekly timecards and manage the team's schedule/time off requests
• Train and develop your team members
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Focus on building products
