Job summary

Taylor Communications, a Taylor Corporation company, is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our Jeffersonville, IN team. The role involves loading, unloading, counting, storing, and shipping materials, with daily tasks that ensure accurate inventory and on-time deliveries.

The position offers a 1st shift, Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm, overtime as needed, and opportunities for growth within a family-owned, long‑term employer. DailyPay available.

Qualifications

• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.
• Ability to operate or be trained on material handling equipment.
• Comfort with heights up to 35'.

Responsibilities

• Performs shipping, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distribution of materials.
• Inspects incoming goods and records discrepancies in the inventory system.
• Put away and manage raw and finished goods in warehouse.
• Pull products from warehouse to production floor.
• Prepare orders for shipment and label packages with identifying information.
• Use shipping systems for FedEx, UPS, and USPS.
• Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting.
• May operate or be trained on forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Record shipment data including weight and charges.
• Complete shipping and receiving reports.

Taylor Communications , a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the team in Jeffersonville, IN .

Your Shift

1st Shift; Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, overtime as needed.

Your Responsibilities

• Performs the physical and/or administrative duties involved in the functions pertaining to the shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging and distributing of equipment, materials, merchandise, and similar items


• Inspects and verifies incoming goods against invoices or other documents, records shortages and rejects damaged goods and enters into the inventory control system


• Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse


• Pull product from the warehouse to deliver to the production floor


• Pick, wrap and pack products in boxes, cartons, and other containers prior to final packing for shipment and affixes identifying information to the packages


• Use various shipping systems for FedEx, UPS, and USPS


• Adjust to a fast-paced and quickly changing environment


• Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting


• May operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport and store goods


• Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as needed


• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment


• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability


• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies


• Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record-keeping purposes


• Completes shipping and receiving reports.

You Must Have

• Basic computer and math skills


• Ability to work independently, problem-solving as needed


• Ability to operate or be trained on material handling equipment


• Ability to be comfortable with heights up to 35'

Requirements Within This Position

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand


• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English


• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position


• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials


• Frequently required to move inside the facility


• Regularly move up to 50+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer

• Knowledge of operations of material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation's total compensation and benefits package for employees.
