Job summary

Klondike Cheese Company is hiring for a packaging associate on the Muenster shift. 1st shift runs 5:00 am until done, Tuesday through Saturday. Starting pay is $19.00 per hour, with potential increases based on experience.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, along with a benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k), paid time off and paid holidays. This role requires packing, palletizing and basic sanitation duties as part of a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Cheese/food industry experience is preferred but not required
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed
• A good attendance record is required
• Candidate must be a team player
• Employees are required to stand the duration of the shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, turning, reaching, grasping and lifting up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Pack finished product into plastic for shrink wrap
• Package into buckets, pails or cartons as needed
• Stack pallets for transport
• Load cheese onto conveyors
• Clean equipment and room
• Move pallets of cheese and totes on rolling racks
• Prepare supplies and labels
• Verify and document product codes and materials
• Complete packaging and sanitation paperwork
• Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas as directed
• Operate packaging equipment
• Other related duties as assigned
