Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a hardworking teammate for a stocking and picking role in Byesville, OH. You will handle engine components and parts, using forklift and data-entry systems to support the remanufacturing process for engine builds.

Responsibilities include stocking, picking, and moving parts to line stations, with opportunities for shift differentials and quarterly gainsharing. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs and work OT as needed.

Qualifications

This position offers

• Starting pay of $19.55/hr. up to top pay of $27.59hr.*
• Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential
• additional shift differential for off-shifts

What You Drive At DTNA

• Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
• Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
• Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
• Ability to operate hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.
• Stocking & picking parts
• Fulfilling parts carts for S60, MBE, MDEG, OCM's, and HDEP engine builds
• Use of Navision for parts movement, data entry, and research location of parts and part numbers.
• Knowledge of computers, tablets, printers, and scanners.
• Willing to relocate to different plants, buildings, warehouses, etc. when needed.
• Operate hoist, hand tools, forklift, hand truck, and picker.
• Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
• Adhere to established work rotation plan
• Complete training matrix for each rotation position
• Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
• Other tasks and/or duties as requested

Knowledge You Should Bring

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
• Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching.
• Ability to work in a repetitive motion environment
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently (option to use hoist).
• Read, understand and complete documentation
• Willingness to cross-train throughout the area
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
• Ability to work overtime when necessary
• Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
• Must maintain a clean work area.
• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
• Cross train on other jobs as required

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

• Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
• Previous mechanical experience
• High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus
