Job summary

BlueGreen Alliance Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to move, stage, and organize materials across the facility.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, ensure accurate material movement records, and maintain a clean, safe work area on a day shift from 6:30am to 2:30pm. Responsibilities include handling raw materials through finished goods, coordinating with production, and participating in preshift meetings while adhering to safety protocols and CandyCo requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of forklift experience required.
  • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • Ability to work and accommodate changing deadlines with a focus on organizational skills and initiative.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of CandyCo requirements.
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Comfortable using basic warehouse systems, tools, and procedures.

Job purpose

The Material Handler is responsible for moving, staging, and organizing materials throughout the facility to support production and warehouse operations. This role ensures materials are available in the right place, at the right time, in the right condition. Material Handlers use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely handle materials while maintaining accurate records and following all safety and food safety protocols.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Move, stage, and store raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and related equipment safely
  • Label and document material movement per inventory control procedures
  • Conduct equipment checks and report maintenance needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area

Working conditions
  • Must be able to work any/all shifts as assigned or required
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, including Holidays and/or weekends as required
Physical requirements
  • Preshift stretch and exercises to be performed
  • Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves where warranted
  • Lifting at times of up to 50 lbs. without assistance and standing for most of a shift
