Job summary

GEDIA Georgia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Assembly/Weld Department on 1st shift. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair welding and joining production equipment, complete work orders, and perform PMs in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Strong troubleshooting, ability to read electrical schematics, and commitment to safety and cleanliness are essential. You will contribute to downtime reduction through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Journeyman status in machine repair, industrial mechanics, electrician, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience maintaining and repairing production equipment, including robots (Fanuc experience preferred) and joining equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documents.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with assembly and joining-related equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on welding, joining, and related production equipment.
  • Read, interpret, and execute work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and systems-related issues.
  • Escalate issues by creating work orders when additional support is needed.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed accurately to prevent repeat breakdowns.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and contribute to an organized work environment.
  • Communicate clearly with team members across all organizational levels.
  • Assist in identifying and eliminating sources of downtime through root-cause analysis, including 5 Why methodology.
  • Operate hand tools, grease guns, forklifts, cranes, and equipment related to maintenance and repair activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and efficiency.
