Job summary

RPM Industrial Coatings Group in North Carolina is seeking a maintenance technician to perform repairs, installations and preventive maintenance on facility equipment, building and utility systems. You will handle carpentry, floor repairs and general maintenance, log activities, inspect equipment, and refer complex issues to supervision.

Welding and safe operation of tools are required. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years in maintenance with basic math

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, painting, machine servicing, electrical skills and pneumatics.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, adjust, and repair machinery and equipment throughout facility
  • Perform general carpentry work and repairs to building and grounds
  • Perform inspections of equipment and machines and make necessary repairs as directed
  • Maintain log of maintenance performed on machinery and equipment
  • Respond to maintenance request items as assigned by supervisor
  • Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment using correct tools properly

Maintain record of maintenance and repairs. Make routine checks and inspections of equipment for proper lubrication and other general maintenance functions. Check out problem areas and make repairs and adjustments as needed. Refer complex situations to supervisor. Operate machines, tools, perform welding and other maintenance tasks as required.
