Primary Duties

• Machining skills using manual lathes, mills, drill press, centerless grinders, etc.
• Repairing, maintaining and improving industrial machinery, paper tube winding machinery, packaging machinery, and other production equipment.
• Perform electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical control troubleshooting.

Secondary Duties

• Ability to operate all production equipment

Additional Skills/Requirements

Preferred

• 3+ years of experience in machining using manual machining equipment
• 3+ years of experience electrical/mechanical troubleshooting at the component level
• 3+ years of experience working on industrial assembly machines
• Experience with VOM with ability to understand the results, troubleshoot components (proximity switch, limit switch, PLC input/output level)
• Blue Print Reading is desirable
• Intermediate PLC skills, troubleshooting using PLC, ladder logic, machine electrical prints, very little or no PLC programming required, only ability to use the PLC as a tool to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Welding experience
• Strong mechanical skills, such as understanding Hydraulics and Pneumatics, not only theory but real, hands‑on experience
• Basic machine shop practices, such as drilling holes with drill press, tapping holes, threading pipe, identifying pipe fittings, and understanding how they are used (some water lines, mostly air lines)
• Ability to measure in inches, millimeters, with tape measures, scales, micrometers and calipers
