Job summary

Smalley, a global leader in precision metal formed products, invites skilled maintenance professionals to join our Lake Zurich facility. You will troubleshoot and maintain machinery, perform inspections, and complete electrical/plumbing fixes to minimize downtime.

We value strong communication, precise measurement skills, and the ability to read blueprints. A basic math/English exam is required, with opportunities for growth, training, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must pass basic math and English proficiency exam.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and cleans machinery and rolling mills; checks oil levels and fans.
• Uses specialty equipment to complete job tasks.
• Inspects and tests machinery and equipment for proper operation.
• Installs and repairs electrical and plumbing equipment as needed.
• Operates data software for maintenance requests and PM tracking.
• Performs basic repairs including belts, hoses, and fittings.

• Utilizes specialty equipment to complete job tasks
• Inspects and tests machinery and equipment

• Operates data software for maintenance requests and PM tracking
• Performs basic repairs as needed, including belts, hoses, and fittings

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred: machine operating, manufacturing, and blueprints, calipers, and micrometers
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Pass required exam of basic math and English

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $20.00 - $23.00 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
