Job summary

American Berry Company is seeking skilled machine operators for the 6a–6p shift to keep the production line moving on a 2‑2‑3 schedule. You will work with extractor/infuser systems, filters, evaporators, and dryers to produce sweetened dried cranberries and cranberry concentrate.

Applicants should have 1+ year of machine operating experience in food manufacturing and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Forklift and HMI experience are a plus. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of machine operating experience in food manufacturing.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve machines.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull product up to 50 pounds.
• HMI systems experience is a plus.
• 1+ years of forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Record all paperwork accurately.
• Perform hourly checks on process equipment to stay within specs.
• Ensure product specs are met, including proper juice filtration and concentration.
• Maintain a clean work area and separate utensils accordingly.
• Separate fruit streams by product nature (Finished pallet cases, Bulk bin, Z-belt bin).
• Change Sunflower oil and Release Agent when needed.
• Audit sanitation/CIP effectiveness and ensure correct wash conditions.
• Perform startups, shutdowns, CIP, sanitation, and related tasks.

American Berry Company is looking for skilled machine operators for our 6a‑6p shift. Our machine operators will keep our production line moving. They will be working on/with the following machines: extractor/infuser system, filter, evaporator, and dryer to help us produce sweetened dried cranberries and cranberry concentrate. Food manufacturing experience is a plus. We offer insurance plans, PTO, 11 paid holidays, and more.

Responsibilities

• Properly record all paperwork.
• Perform hourly checks on all process equipment to ensure we are running within the parameters to maintain product specification.
• Work closely with the team to ensure product specifications are met: juice is properly filtered and stored, filtered juice running below established NTU values, juice is being concentrated correctly to obtain finished concentrate specification per COA, the moisture of the SDC product is within specifications per COA, and other associated lab tests.
• Maintain a clean work area, keeping food contact utensils and floor/waste utensils separate in use and storing.
• Properly separate the following fruit streams by nature of product: Finished pallet cases, Bulk bin, Z-belt bin, and floor waste.
• Change out the Sunflower oil and the Release Agent.
• Audit the effectiveness of sanitation/CIP on equipment, lines, and tanks. Ensure proper time, temperature, and concentration are maintained and recorded during the wash cycle.
• Perform startups, shutdowns, CIPs, sanitation, drumming off juice, troubleshooting equipment, and all other associated tasks and duties as required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of machine operating experience in food manufacturing required.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot machines.
• Strong understanding and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull product up to 50 pounds.
• HMI Systems experience is a plus.
• 1+ years of forklift experience is preferred.

Compensation

$23 - $26 hourly
