Job summary

Penguin Random House in Reno, NV is seeking Light Picker/Packers for 1st shift to join our distribution center. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, paying $16.00 per hour with full benefits starting on day one.

You will handle picking, packing and shipping operations to support fulfilling approximately 1.2 million books daily, while adhering to safety guidelines and working as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• Requires basic reading and math skills.
• Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis and occasionally up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift (minimal breaks provided).
• Must follow all safety rules and work well in a team-orientated environment.
• Must possess flexibility to work in other areas based on business needs.
• Minimum age requirement is 18.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain good overall safety and attendance record.
• Work well in a team-orientated environment.
• Must adhere to safety and precaution measures; Health and Safety of employees is critical.
• Must be flexible and cross-trained in other areas to assist with work in other departments based on business needs.
