Job summary

Green Rabbit, a division of Vistar, is seeking a 1st shift Warehouse Lead in Whitestown, Indiana. The role oversees warehouse crew, ensures safety and quality, and supports shipping/receiving with a focus on efficient product flow.

The position requires 1–2 years in warehouse operations, ability to work multi-temperature environments, and lifting up to 80 pounds. Competitive pay and benefit programs apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of warehouse and/or distribution environment.
• Must be able to work the scheduled times and overtime.
• Able to work in a multi-temperature environment (dry, cooler, freezer).
• Must be able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10–35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Obtain daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Wear required PPE and safety gear.
• Perform daily safety check of forklifts/pallet jacks.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards for location and company.
• Assist crew with duties in emergencies and non-emergencies.
• Perform damage checks and coordinate item removal per policy.
• Oversee warehouse duties such as shipping, receiving, put-away, returns, and audits.
• Provide oversight and input on work in assigned area.
• Maintain housekeeping and secure equipment at end of shift.

We are currently seeking a 1st shift Warehouse Lead, Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm, to to support our growing operations at our facility in Whitestown, Indiana. Position Summary:

Oversees and provides guidance to the warehouse crew under direction of warehouse manager/supervisor, maintain warehouse work areas, assists with shipping and receiving functions in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Follow all preferred work methods, safety policies and procedures per company guidelines. Ensure work area is safe and report any unsafe conditions and/or acts immediately.
• Obtain work schedule and daily production paperwork and prepare for operations.
• Put on all required Personal Protective Equipment and Safety Gear.
• Perform daily safety check of the assigned forklift / pallet jack in accordance with company policy.
• Meet required productivity and accuracy standards per location and company guidelines.
• Assist warehouse crew with duties in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Perform damage control checks on items received and contact supervisor about removing items according to company policy.
• Perform selection, shipping, receiving, forklift put-away/replenishment, returns, auditing and/or other warehouse duties per business need.
• Provide oversight, direction and input on work performed by associates in assigned area.
• Perform general housekeeping duties and keep warehouse area, loading dock and trailers clear and clean as required. Remove batteries requiring recharging, replace with charged batteries and complete vehicle inspection checklist. At the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Provide backup support to warehouse management
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
