Job summary

Perrigo in Bronx, NY is seeking a Lead Compounder on the 1st shift to control batch processes, weigh materials, operate kettles and pumps, and ensure batch records are completed accurately.

This on-site union position offers a pay rate of $25.00 per hour with a 5x8 schedule, emphasizing adherence to SOPs, QA cooperation, and safe manufacturing practices under Perrigo Total Rewards programs.

Qualifications

• One year of compounding experience preferred.
• Must be able to read English, sign batch records and log entries after each step as required.
• Must be able to lift materials/equipment weighing between 25–50 lbs.
• Must be able to wear full/half face respirator.

Responsibilities

• Compound batches from copy of master formula and give directions to operators/compounders, including weighing raw materials and monitoring batch procedures.
• Set up equipment and operate kettles and pumps as required.
• Sign batch records and maintain log entries for each step.
• Follow SOPs for manufacturing and compounding and ensure proper cleaning procedures.
• Monitor batches during processing and cooperate with QA inspectors.
• Maintain daily professional relations with division staff and supervisors and adhere to safety rules.

Description Overview

We are looking for a Lead Compounder to join our 1st shift team here at our Perrigo facility in Bronx, NewYork.

This is a Union Position - Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour with a 5x8 schedule.

Scope of the Role

• Compound batches from copy of master formula and give directions to operators/compounders. Duties includeweighing of raw materials, monitoring batch procedures, set up, operating various kettles and pumps, movingmaterials to and from the compounding area, signing batch records and making log entries.
• Follow written instructions
• Follow all SOPs for MFG/Compounding
• Complete set-ups of equipment to be used for manufacturing
• Compound batches from copy of master
• Clean equipment/container/ area as needed
• Weigh raw materials, monitor procedures, run various kettles, pumps and moving materials to and from thecompounding/suppository area, sign batch records and make log entries
• Cooperate with QA inspectors
• Follow appropriate cleaning procedures
• Maintain operating schedule
• Maintain daily professional work relation with division employees, managers and supervisors
• Follow all safety rules, company policies and procedures
• Ensure all water requirements are obtained as needed
• Monitor batches as they are being processed
• Ensure batches are being properly manufactured
• Review activity of compounders/set-up operators to ensure all work is properly completed
• Complete sign-offs as required by the SOP
