WebstaurantStore is seeking an Inbound Material Handler to unload, check in, and stock inventory in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include using forklifts, scanners, and ERP to accurately receive and place goods, while maintaining safety and meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a distribution environment is a plus but not required.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and scanners.
• Comfort with ERP systems and inventory Receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment or by hand.
• Receive inventory in the ERP system and stock into storage.
• Move palletized product with pallet jacks/forklifts to organize receiving area.
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using handheld devices.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow all protocols.
• Maintain accuracy, meet daily/weekly/monthly targets, and report hazards.

Job Summary

The Inbound Material Handler is responsible for unloading, checking in and stocking new inventory into the warehouse. These tasks must be completed to an efficient and accurate standard to ensure smooth inbound operations. This position requires use of our internal warehouse systems and various warehouse equipment, which may include Powered Industrial Trucks.

Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Unload live domestic deliveries from trailers using forklift equipment, or unload import containers by hand
• Use our ERP system to systematically receive inventory accurately and efficiency, ready to be placed in storage racking
• Move palletized product using pallet jacks/forklift equipment to organize the receiving dock, or transport product to other areas of the Distribution center
• Scan and place inventory in racking locations using forklift equipment and a handheld scanning device, ready for warehouse operations
• Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, scanners, and computers, following all established protocols and promoting safe working standards
• Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership
• Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
• Abide by all company and warehouse policies
• Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

• 1 year+ of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
