Job summary

OPC Arbre Farms is seeking a Freezer Forklift Operator Level 1 for 1st shift to perform freezer warehouse duties, move and store products, and ship efficiently. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is full-time with benefits eligibility after 60 days and vacation after 90 days.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory checks, pallet verification, and maintaining cold-chain conditions. Requires forklift experience, scanner use, and strong communication in English.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title:

Freezer Forklift Operator Level 1 1st Shift

Position Reports To:

Warehouses Supervisor

FLSA Status:

Hourly $

• This is a full-time permanent position eligible for enrollment in company benefit plans after 60 days and 40 hours Vacation time after 90 days
• Monday – Friday 5:30am - 4:00pm or 6:30am-5:00pm Rotating schedule (Saturdays and Sundays possible)

Position Purpose Summary:

Perform necessary freezer warehouse duties to ensure product is moved, stored and shipped safety and efficiently.

Principal Job Responsibilities

• Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
• Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
• Verify pallets, packaging and report any damage
• Ensure and verify load count at the time of pulling
• Ensure product is safely put away and pulled from racks.
• Responsible to inspect inbound product (no broken pallets, no damaged product & properly labeled)
• Maintain a constant communication with supervisor on where the production needs to be put away (participate in freezer projections)
• Clearly complete the load requirement documents when pulling loads
• Excellent communication with your related departments (Shipping and receiving, Repack/resort and production drivers)
• Maintain cleanliness in the put away and prep load aisles (pick up any type of debris)
• Ensure trailer temperature is correct
• Ensure to maintain a sufficient amount of product on production lines (avoid any down time).
• Knowledge of customer requirements
• Daily inspection of your equipment
• Conduct physical inventories
• Identify scanner errors
• Ensure to have your communication device (two way radio)
• Ensure labels are correct (part number, weight and quantity)
• Review the unplaced report with your supervisor
• Performed Willow forklift departments with minimum supervision
• Demonstrate coaching skills.
• Shipping and Receiving duties
• Able to haul and load a regular 28 tote load in 60 minutes
• Able to haul and load a 28 pallets slip sheet load in 120 minutes
• Able to do a 28 pallet load delivery in 85 minutes unload, inspect, label and stage load into the freezer.
• Able to haul and place into racks 28 pallets double stack in 60 minutes.
• Able to pull and inspect a 28 tote load in 50 minutes (highdifficulty)
• Able to pull and inspect a 28 tote load in 65 minutes (medium difficulty)
• Able to pull and inspect a 28 tote load in 75 minutes (lowdifficulty)
• Able to run a repack or resort line at 28 totes in 105 minutes (pick product, haul in and out and place into racks)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Broad knowledge and experience in forklift operations
• Above average skills in warehouse knowledge; attendance
• Excellent skills in communication; addition, subtraction; attention to details; sense of urgency; accuracy; time management and teamwork.
• Demonstrated ability to operate a scanner, computer, hand tools (seal cutter) and forklift, identify trailer type (size, spread or regular axle); work in other departments (repack room, production, shipping and receiving and repack/resort); work with limited supervision; read, write, speak English
• General knowledge of forklift, pallet jack & reach truck
• Experience in shipping and receiving
• Other: valid driver’s license

Education and Experience:

• Years of Experience: 6 months or greater
• Specialized training in forklift operations

Physical Demands of the Position:

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand, reach with arms and hands, stoop, crouch and lift in excess of 50 lbs. Vision abilities required by this job include color recognition and attention to detail. This job may require working a minimum of 10 hours per shift with the flexibility to extend working hours as required.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Extended periods of physical vibration and moderate to high noise levels are normal. Employee will be required to work in a cold environment that is approximately 40 degrees or lower
