Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. in Salisbury, NC is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material from inventory to production and back, ensuring accurate paperwork and production records.

You will load, move, band, wrap, label finished goods, and relocate them to the warehouse. The role supports production with material needs, performs pre-shift checks, and maintains yard organization, while adhering to forklift safety policies and participating in safety programs.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience preferred; no minimum experience required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Forklift Driver licensing process must be successfully completed.

Responsibilities

• Move material from inventory to production and back to inventory as scheduled.
• Band, wrap, pack, and label finished goods and move them to the inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment and complete pre-shift startup checklists.
• Maintain organized and clean rough material and finished goods yards and complete production records.
• Follow forklift safety rules and participate in safety and CI programs.
