Job summary

Alamance Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced Forklift Driver for our Warehouse Operations team in Burlington, NC. The role supports shipping, receiving, and production by safely moving materials with powered equipment during a fast-paced shift.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of forklift experience, familiarity with GMPs, and strong English communication skills. This full-time, hourly position requires flexibility for overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required.
• Experience operating forklifts safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, receive, and ship materials accurately and efficiently.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility using powered industrial equipment.
• Optimize loads to maximize efficiency while minimizing product damage.
• Support production and warehouse operations by delivering materials to designated locations.
• Verify materials and quantities against shipping and receiving documentation.

Position Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and safety‑focused Forklift Driver to join our Warehouse Operations team. This role is responsible for safely transporting materials throughout the facility while supporting shipping, receiving, production, and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate has recent forklift experience, understands warehouse safety practices, and thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Safely load, unload, receive, and ship materials accurately and efficiently.
• Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies throughout the facility using powered industrial equipment.
• Optimize loads to maximize efficiency while minimizing product damage.
• Support production and warehouse operations by delivering materials to designated locations.
• Verify materials and quantities against shipping and receiving documentation.

Safety & Quality

• Operate forklifts safely while following all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and warehouse procedures.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report equipment concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Teamwork & Communication

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Work collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
• Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience

Work Schedule & Overtime Requirements

• Regular schedule: Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Must be available to work overtime as business needs require.
• Must be available to work weekends and up to six (6) days per week during peak production seasons.
• Reliable attendance is essential.

Working Conditions

• Non-climate-controlled manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions.
• Noise levels typical of a manufacturing facility.
