Adecco Staffing in East Providence, RI seeks a Facilities/Maintenance Technician for 1st shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Mon–Fri. The role maintains, repairs, and improves building facilities and equipment in an industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in maintenance, facilities, or building operations.
• Working knowledge of general building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, basic mechanical).
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
• Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and carpentry needs.
• Maintain warehouse and production equipment as assigned.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inventory of tools and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, and state safety regulations.
• Support improvement projects, facility upgrades, and general upkeep.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
