Job summary

Brighton NC Machine is seeking an Experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will independently set up and operate CNC machines, producing high-quality precision parts with strong attention to detail.

The role requires reading engineering blueprints, GD&T proficiency, and experience with lathes, mills, and grinders. You will work a 1st shift, 4-day week with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and specifications.
• Proficient GD&T knowledge for tolerances and measurement.
• Basic CNC programming understanding and verification.
• Proven experience operating CNC lathes, mills, and/or grinders.
• In-depth knowledge of bore tools, gauges, inspection requirements, and documentation.
• Use of work offsets and tool offsets with cutter compensation.
• Ability to set up workpieces and follow written instructions.
• Focus on quality, detail, and timely production.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform work in Lathe, Mill, and/or Grinding departments.
• Set up machines, change tooling, and operate equipment.
• Mill, turn, grind, drill, tap, deburr and inspect parts.
• Monitor tooling life and machine condition, correcting defects.
• Record inspection data and follow Quality Alerts and procedures.
• Ensure parts meet customer and company quality standards.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with teammates.
• Train less-experienced operators and assist as needed.
• Be flexible to support other plant areas when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team andhit the ground running. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, extensive CNC machining experience, and the ability to independently set up and operate equipment while producing high-quality precision parts.

Schedule:

1st Shift

• Monday–Thursday
• 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 4-day work week
• Overtime as needed based on production requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently perform work within the Lathe, Mill, and/or Grinding departments
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and machine operation.
• Perform milling, turning, grinding, drilling, tapping, deburring, inspection, and bench operations.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of tooling, tool life, and machine conditions.
• Identify and correct defective materials or questionable conditions.
• Properly clock in and out of jobs and follow all work instructions.
• Complete inspection reports and follow Quality Alerts and established quality procedures.
• Consistently produce parts that meet customer and company quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively and work productively as part of a team.
• Train and assist less-experienced Machine Operators.
• Be willing to work in other areas of the plant as production needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints
• Proficient knowledge of GD&TIn-depth knowledge of machine tools, tooling selection, and materials
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming
• Proficient (Experienced) operation of CNC lathes, mills, and/or grinders
• In-depth knowledge of bore tools, gauges, inspection requirements, and documentation
• Proficient use of work offsets and tool offsets, including cutter compensation
• Ability to indicate parts and properly set up workpieces
• Ability to follow written work instructions and quality procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
