Job summary

Kingsley Senior Living Facility in Canton, MI is hiring Care Staff and Med Techs to assist residents with daily activities, provide medication administration, and promote independence in a safe, compassionate environment.

You will support residents with transfers, bathing, grooming, and meal assistance, follow care plans, document as required, and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure quality care on every shift, including every other weekend.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
• Experience in caregiving or medical support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility).
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
• Maintain cleanliness and light housekeeping.
• Follow safety, infection control, and care plan procedures.
• document medications and care activities in charts/records.
• Support residents with meals and feeding; respond to call lights.
• Collaborate with team to ensure comfort and safety.
• Complete necessary documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands‑on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
