Job summary

Sanitation Specialists in Salinas, CA is hiring a part-time 1st shift janitorial worker to maintain clean and safe facilities across our buildings. Schedule: 4:00am – 1:00pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, with a pay rate of $18/hour.

The ideal candidate will have basic maintenance knowledge, cleaning experience, a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation, and the ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team. PPE may be required depending on the task.

Qualifications

• Driver’s license or reliable transportation to the worksite.
• Must be punctual and adhere to scheduled start times.
• Ability to clock in/out through the timekeeping system.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning procedures, tools, and chemicals.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on the task.

Responsibilities

• Replenish restroom supplies and detergents, keeping facilities stocked.
• Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely following safety guidelines.
• Follow established schedules and checklists to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
• Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.
