Job summary

Great Plains Manufacturing, now Kubota, in Salina, KS, seeks a 1st Shift Assembler for construction equipment division. You will follow daily build schedules, assemble components by hand or with power tools, read engineering prints with a tape measure.

Work on an assembly line with varying tasks, maintain safety and quality standards, and participate in lean manufacturing practices. Forklift license is a plus; strong attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Able to follow daily build schedules and work with hand/power tools.
• Ability to read engineering prints and measure components.
• Familiar with Lean manufacturing concepts and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow and complete daily build schedule
• Bolt, clip, screw, cement, or fasten parts by hand or using tools
• Read and interpret engineering prints and use a tape measure
• Tend machines and use tools such as impact wrenches to fasten components
• Work at different work stations as production needs require
• Work on line where tasks vary with different models
• Monitor assembly tasks and suggest quality improvements
• Other duties as assigned per qualifications and environment
