Caterpillar Inc. is hiring for a labor-enabled role at the Prentiss facility in Booneville, MS. The position involves operating specialized logistics equipment and performing material handling, warehousing tasks, and order fulfillment.

You will count parts, verify locations, and inspect for damage while working with a team in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $18.35/hour with potential overtime; the role is first shift (M-TH) and requires safety adherence and the ability to lift and move

In this role you will also be assigned to inspect and operate specialized logistics equipment. In conjunction with this role, you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, this position requires first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects.

Pay And Shift Details

• Work location: Booneville, MS (Prentiss facility)


• 1st shift, M-TH, 5am-3pm (plus overtime according to business need)


• Starting pay rate: $18.35/hour

Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Assigned to specialized equipment: i.e. Reach Trucks, Order Pickers, Turret Trucks


• Consistently meet equipment-specific efficiency targets


• Utilizing and inspecting heavy equipment including sit down fork truck, pallet jack and overhead hoists


• Perform material handling and warehousing functions, order filling, processing, storing/picking of parts, materials, equipment and supplies


• Operating automated packaging equipment, shipping and receiving


• Multiple systems interactions


• Interaction with carrier drivers


• Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures


• Uses machines for weighing, banding, wrapping, packaging, stenciling, etc.


• Operates electronic hardware to receive material into inventory, including iPads


• Performs 5S/housekeeping functions as required

Essential Job Functions

• Frequently lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pounds as a team lift


• Frequently bending, reaching and squatting while performing tasks


• Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed


• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures


• Frequently work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floor


• Must be able to cross reference material to documentation for verification


• Must be able to work overtime when required

Overtime Requirements

Overtime is required depending on business need. Overtime could be mandatory or voluntary and could occur during the week and/or on weekends (depending on business need).

Summary Pay Range

$18.35 - $23.85
