Job summary

Brown ES in Irving, Texas is seeking a 1st Grade Bilingual Teacher for the 26-27 school year to provide engaging instruction in English and Spanish, align with TEA standards, and support students’ academic, emotional and social growth.

You will develop and implement lesson plans, monitor progress with formative and summative assessments, collaborate with special education and ESL staff, manage classroom behavior, and communicate with families while integrating technology to enhance learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and Texas teaching certificate required.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL Supplemental Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned.
• Present the subject matter according to TEA guidelines and policies.
• Use data to plan and implement instructional strategies accommodating individual needs (IEP, ESL, etc.).
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula as needed.
• Plan and supervise teacher aides/volunteers in the classroom.
• Incorporate technology to enhance teaching and learning.
