Job summary

Kenny Kent Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Service Technician for our Evansville, IN dealership. You will perform vehicle repairs and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, following repair orders and coordinating with the Parts Department.

We offer an hourly pay range from $16 to $41 based on experience, plus quarterly bonuses. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K with match, paid time off, holidays, disability, life insurance, paid training, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of service technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASE Certification required.
• B Level qualifications include diagnostic, electrical and engine repair.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and take to stall area.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with accuracy per standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized.
• Conduct Multi Point Vehicle Inspections.
• Coordinate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Tag and save parts; return them if under warranty or on request.
• Inform service advisor if additional work is needed or if repairs cannot be finished on time.
• Document work performed and road-test vehicles post-repair.

We are looking for an individual who is willing to work in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment. We need team players with a positive attitude.

We are seeking an experienced service technician that performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday based on business levels you may be required to work on a Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repair as authorized.
• Perform Multi Point Vehicle Inspection.
• Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain needed parts.
• Tag and save parts, turn in parts, if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
• Advise service advisor immediately if any additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed with the promised time.
• Document work performed.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure repair has addressed the customer complaint.
• Quality check work performed.
• Attend training classes.
• Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Ensure that customers’ vehicles are kept clean.
• Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, governing service repair work.

Qualifications

2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required

B Level Qualifications, Including Diagnostic, Electrical And Engine Repair

• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
