Job summary

Town Pump Company is seeking a Store Clerk to join our team in Bozeman, MT. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, handling cash, stocking merchandise, and maintaining shop safety and cleanliness.

You will operate the cash register, process payments, manage customer inquiries, and support deli operations as needed. We offer Full Time and Part Time positions with a shift-based schedule.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and cash handling required.
• Ability to stock, price, rotate, and display merchandise.
• Capable of housekeeping and safety practices in store.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for excellent customer service, cash handling and accounting, stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise, housekeeping inside and outside of the store, store safety and store security, and deli food sales and cooking.
• Operate computerized cash register, give correct change, scan credit cards, accept and process checks, and bag merchandise.
• Remember regular customers’ names and faces, answer and screen phone calls, police the store, detect shoplifters, and listen to and handle customer complaints.
• Stock shelves and coolers, complete accurate and effective completion of shift work, clean and maintain all areas of the store, complete vendor check-in procedures, complete the protocol system and “drive off” controls, and advise the store manager of any situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
• Sweep the lot, shovel snow, clean gas pumps, fill water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and complete any other duties assigned by management.
• Keep the hot dog roller, nacho and popcorn machines, condiment center, coffee, and fountain dispenser areas clean, filled, and stocked.
• Perform all deli duties in smaller locations as described in the deli job description.
