Job summary

Booker is seeking a delivery driver to join our local route team. You will drive locally, build relationships with regular customers, and work 45 hours per week on an Any 5 from 7 pattern. The role includes manual deliveries and ensuring on-time, high-quality service to customers.

Full CPC training hours are provided; several staff benefits are available after probation. Weekend shifts are part of the schedule, with opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Cat C / 18T Licence required.
• Two years driving experience preferred.
• Delivery driving experience beneficial.
• Ability to carry out manual deliveries.
• Excellent customer service attitude.
• Good literacy and numeracy.”

Our drivers are the beating heart of our business and you will play a vital role in ensuring customers receive their deliveries on time and with a great service.

Working on an “Any 5 from 7” contract, our shift patterns will include some weekend working.

You will be responsible for

Making sure our customers are able to keep their shelves full with the products needed by their customers. You’ll be loading stock in to the vehicle at the Branch and unloading at the customer premises. You’ll also need to ensure the paperwork is completed accurately.

You will need

Cat C / 18T Licence

Previous experience of driving (at least two years)

Previous experience of delivery driving is preferred

Ability to carry out manual deliveries

Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive customer service attitude

Good level of literacy and numeracy
