The role covers general cleaning, family laundry, light kitchen prep, errands, and pet care for the family's cat. Travel to Cape Cod in summer is a nice-to-have; schedule is approximately 20 hours over 2-3 days with a flexible start.

• Light kitchen prep such as washing and chopping fruits and vegetables and helping to keep the refrigerator organized and stocked.
• Occasional household errands and assisting with care of the family's cat.

Job description

A artistic couple, in Chelsea, needs to hire an experienced and personable part-time Housekeeper to assist with the ongoing upkeep and organization of their home.

Responsibilities

• general household upkeep and cleaning, maintaining daily organization and tidiness throughout the residence, family laundry and linens, and keeping household items and supplies organized.
• The Housekeeper will also assist with very light kitchen prep, such as washing and chopping fruits and vegetables and helping to keep the refrigerator organized and stocked.
• Additional duties may include occasional household errands and assisting with the care of the family's cat.

This is a relatively informal household and the principals are looking for someone who is highly capable and detail-oriented while also being friendly and approachable. They travel to Cape Cod for much of the summer and while not required, it would be an excellent benefit if this person could go with.

The schedule is approximately 20 hours per week over 2-3 days, ideally during the late morning through early afternoon. The principals are flexible regarding which days are worked and are happy to coordinate a schedule that works well for the right candidate. Salary $45/hour. Flexible start.
