Job summary

Porter County Education Services seeks an Educational Diagnostician to join its Multidisciplinary Team. You will support evaluations for special education services, collaborate with schools, parents, and other stakeholders, and manage a caseload of evaluations including reporting and IEP development.

Position requires licensure in Mild Interventions and at least five years of teaching in special education, with travel between district buildings as needed and participation in ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Mild Interventions License.
• Minimum of 5 years' teaching experience in a special education setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer/interpret assessments (e.g., standardized achievement; adaptive behavior).
• Prepare comprehensive evaluation reports and write initial IEPs.
• Attend case conferences and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide recommendations on educational placement, accommodations, and strategies based on data.
• Ensure evaluation timelines and legal/regulatory compliance (IDEA and Article 7).
• Drive to multiple school buildings as assignment requires.
