Job summary

Sigma Defense in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 0-2 years of experience to support design, prototyping, and testing of mechanical systems. You will report to a senior engineer and production supervisor, developing improvements and ensuring CAD drawings meet project needs.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Will report to senior mechanical engineer and production supervisor for daily duties.
• Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and develop improvements.
• Design and develop prototypes.
• Analyze and test prototypes and each revision of a device.
• Supervise CAD project drawings from junior team members.
• Develop, initiate and manage all phases of projects.
• Prepare documentation of critical analysis and provide suggestions for corrections.
• Collaborate with Project Managers for proper allocation and tracking resources.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 annually.
