Job summary

Sigma Defense in Grand Forks AFB, ND seeks an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team. You will support development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity architecture and RMF authorization packages for DoD systems.

The role requires 3–5 years’ information security experience, RMF expertise, and US citizenship with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. You will work with system owners and vendors to ensure compliance and robust cyber defense.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant information security experience.
• Experience with RMF, security controls, and ATO processes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong knowledge of cyber security testing methods and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced cybersecurity support across DoD combat systems and networks.
• Maintain RMF packages, assessment artifacts, and defensive cyber measures.
• Support acquisition lifecycle activities for systems in development, production, and upgrades.
• Lead vulnerability assessments, STIGs, and cyber test strategy in virtual test environments.

Sigma Defense is seeking an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join our team in Grand Forks AFB, ND.

This position plays a key role in the development, assessment, and maintenance of cybersecurity architecture, cyber engineering artifacts, cybersecurity performance metrics, RMF authorization packages, and enclave-level cyber strategies supporting system certification requirements.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Information assurance IA/Cyber Security or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Cyber Security Testing methods and processes.
• Cyber defense policy, processes and assessments.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Personnel Clearance Level

• Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance or higher.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field of study.
• Degree may be substituted for 10+ years of information assurance or Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience.

Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive)

• Provide advanced technical and analytical cybersecurity support across the full spectrum.
• The specialist ensures the protection, resilience, and compliance of combat systems, networks, and information systems in accordance with DoW, cybersecurity policies, standards, and processes.
• Support full acquisition lifecycle activities, including systems under development, systems in production, and fielded systems undergoing upgrades.
• Provide engineering expertise, risk and vulnerability assessments, STIG execution, cybersecurity test strategy support, and technical leadership in virtualized cyber test environments supporting Integrated Combat Systems (ICS).

Salary Range

$110,000 - $115,000 annually.
