Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an Aircraft Electrician to inspect, service, and repair electrical systems on Army aircraft, from airplanes to helicopters, ensuring they remain operational and safe for missions.

You will learn electrical theory, troubleshooting, and hands-on maintenance, while earning a regular paycheck and pursuing tuition assistance. Training includes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, with civilian career pathways after service.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in Army National Guard.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass physical exam and meet standards.

Job training for Soldiers in the Aircraft Electrician specialty consists of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, plus 19 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. During this time, you will learn essential Soldiering skills and refine your Aircraft Electrician abilities in the field and the classroom.

Requirements
