Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking personnel to inspect, service, and repair aircraft powertrain systems for Army planes and helicopters. The role emphasizes safety and mission readiness across transport, patrol, and training flights.

Responsibilities include disassembly and precise repair of powertrain components, plus maintaining facilities for hazardous materials. Training includes 10 weeks BCT and 18 weeks technical training to build civilian-valuable skills.

Qualifications

Job training for Soldiers in the Aircraft Powertrain Repairer specialty consists of 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, plus 18 weeks of Advanced Individual Training. During this time, you will learn essential Soldiering skills and refine your aircraft repair abilities in the field and the classroom.
