As a Seafood Department Manager, you will oversee daily seafood department operations, support sales goals, and ensure high standards for freshness, merchandising, and service. Main responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the Seafood Department with a focus on customer service, freshness, and department readiness

Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service and respond to customer requests and special orders

Coordinate training, scheduling, and task assignment for seafood clerks to support department coverage

Execute merchandising programs, displays, and pricing according to company guidelines

Prepare seafood items including cutting, weighing, wrapping, labeling, and stocking displays

Maintain clean, organized work areas, including cases, prep areas, and equipment

Monitor product freshness and remove unsellable or expired items

Manage ordering, inventory levels, and receiving shipments to maintain in ‑ stock conditions

Track and log required temperature checks for coolers and freezers

Maintain department signage and communication updates

Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety requirements, and operational standards

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Strong organization and time management abilities

Ability to follow processes and maintain consistency in daily work

Skill areas:

Seafood handling, preparation, and merchandising execution

Inventory management, ordering, and stock rotation

Scheduling, task coordination, and team support

Food safety, sanitation, and compliance practices

Knowledge:

Seafood product handling, storage, and freshness standards

Merchandising and display techniques

Store systems, scales, and labeling tools

Abilities:

Ability to review inventory levels and product movement

Ability to train, coach, and support associate development

Ability to lift, carry, and handle product and equipment

Ability to work in refrigerated environments and maintain cleanliness standards

Other requirements: Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; reliable attendance; compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and the Code of Business Conduct
