Job summary

CenterPointe Hospital Columbia is seeking compassionate nurses for a 13-week, full-time assignment at our 80-bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Columbia, MO. The position offers a fixed rate of $60 per hour, is not benefits-eligible, and is a direct temporary opportunity (not an agency contract).

Travel stipends are not provided, and current Acadia Healthcare employees are not eligible for this temporary assignment. There is potential to convert to a regular full-time position if offered.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current RN license as required by the state of employment.
• One year of nursing experience; prior psychiatric/behavioral health experience a plus.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available on hire).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical and behavioral health needs and coordinate care.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
• Administer medications and ensure accurate documentation of administration.
• Communicate with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care.
