Job summary

Sound FX Automotive is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician in Lewes/Bridgeville, Delaware, to install and integrate a wide range of automotive electronics and accessories with craftsmanship your customers expect.

You'll work hands-on with car audio, remote starts, backups, lighting, and vehicle-specific electronics, tackling troubleshooting and custom projects. Full-time role with growth opportunities and relocation/sign-on bonus eligibility.

Sound FX Automotive is looking for an experienced Automotive Installation Technician who takes pride in doing things the right way.

This isn't a basic install position. We're looking for someone who understands automotive electrical systems, enjoys solving problems, cares about the details, and wants to build some seriously cool vehicles.

As part of the Sound FX installation team, you'll work hands-on with today's automotive technology and aftermarket upgrades—from premium audio and electronics to vehicle accessories and complete custom projects.

What You'll Do

As an Automotive Installation Technician, you'll be responsible for professionally installing and integrating a wide range of automotive electronics and accessories while maintaining the level of craftsmanship our customers expect from Sound FX.

Your work may include:

• Car audio systems, amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers, and DSP
• Remote starts and security systems
• Backup cameras, safety technology, and driver convenience upgrades
• Lighting and other 12-volt accessories
• Vehicle-specific electronics integration
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing automotive electrical systems
• Custom fabrication and more advanced projects based on experience
• Protecting customer vehicles and maintaining a clean, professional installation
• Communicating with the sales and installation teams to keep projects moving and customers informed

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a technician who is as serious about the quality behind the panels as the finished product the customer sees. You should have:

• Professional automotive electrical experience or accredited 12-volt training
• A solid understanding of 12-volt electrical systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality
• A positive, team-first attitude
• A genuine passion for cars, technology, and working with people
• Availability to work full-time, including some Saturdays as needed

Get Paid to Grow

We're looking for professionals, and we believe professionals should be compensated accordingly.

Compensation: $45,000-$70,000 per year, based on experience and ability.

For the right candidate, we're also offering up to a $10,000 relocation/sign-on bonus.
