Job summary

Akro-Mils, a Myers Industries Company, is seeking a Packaging Operator to sort, assemble, inspect, and pack products to meet customer specifications. You will ensure finished goods meet quality standards and are prepared for shipment.

You will work in a manufacturing environment, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and maintain a clean, safe work area while following all safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to follow basic instructions and safety guidelines.
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, sort, trim, clean, assemble, and pack products efficiently according to specifications.
• Utilize computer systems to locate information and print labels.
• Ensure packaging meets shipment and customer requirements.
• Inspect parts and cartons at each stage of the packing process to ensure quality.
• Stack cartons on pallets by hand, secure with banding, and label skids.
• Notify supervisors of any required repairs or issues with packaging machinery.
• Accurately record information such as quantities, dates, and initials for tracking purposes.
