The DC Army National Guard seeks Infantry Soldiers to serve part-time in Utah. You will train to take or hold ground using advanced tactics while earning a paycheck and tuition assistance.

As part of a fire team, you will develop discipline, teamwork, and leadership. The role includes paid training, a monthly paycheck, retirement benefits, and opportunities to advance while supporting communities during emergencies and natural disasters.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
• Must meet citizenship requirements (see NATIONALGUARD.com for details)

• Assist in reconnaissance operations
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights
• Operate and maintain communications equipment
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.)

Job Duties

Earn While You Learn

Instead of paying to learn these skills, get paid to train. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training for an Infantryman requires 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT). Part of this time is spent in a classroom and part in the field under simulated combat conditions.
