Job summary

Responsibilities

• Cleans hard floors using vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping; moves chairs and trash receptacles to clean underneath.
• Wet mop non-carpeted floors including entrances, lobbies, stairways, and other touched surfaces.
• Vacuum and clean interior floor mats, areas, and rugs and ensure mats are lint-free.
• Cleans and polishes interior/exterior fixtures, mirrors, railings, and decorative metal surfaces to maintain a neat appearance.
• Cleans and disinfects sinks, toilets, urinals, lavatories, dispensers, and related surfaces and ensures restrooms are stocked with supplies.
• Collects and disposes of trash from all waste receptacles, replaces bags, and handles routine upkeep tasks as scheduled.
• Completes non-routine cleaning per manager's schedule and handles emergency cleaning requests.

Salary Range: $17.20 To $21.77 Hourly

We are looking for a responsible full-time custodian to maintain and protect its customer's facilities. A building's external and internal appearance reflects on its occupants.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on commercial building upkeep. The candidate will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative for this position.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hard floors using appropriate methods such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping. Moves chairs, trash receptacles, or other easily moveable items to maintain floors underneath them.
• Wet mop non-carpeted floors, including entrances, vestibules, lobbies, stairways, landings, and risers. Ensure that underneath, easily moveable items are mopped.
• Vacuum and clean interior floor mats, areas, and rugs. Ensure that floor mats are free of all visible lint, litter, debris, soil and other foreign matter.
• Cleans and polishes all elevator interior walls, guardrails, push plates, elevator buttons, and other fixtures to present a neat, clean, and shining appearance.
• Cleans all interior and exterior entry glass mirrors and adjacent trims.
• Cleans and polishes all decorative metal surfaces, including but not limited to kick plates, railings, and push plates.
• Removes any spillage and marks on adjacent surfaces resulting from applying cleaning agents such as polish.
• Cleans and disinfects all surfaces of sinks, toilets, urinals, lavatories, showers, shower mats, dispensers, plumbing fixtures, drinking fountains, saunas, partitions, dispensers, doors, walls, partitions, stalls, stall doors, entry doors, including handle, kick plates, ventilation grates, metal guards), walls, and any other such surfaces.
• Ensures restrooms are stocked sufficiently with provided supplies, including toilet tissue, paper towels, and hand soap.
• Collects and disposes of trash from all waste receptacles, including - but not limited to- exterior wastebaskets, trash receptacles, and smoking urns. Removes any trash boxes or debris stacked near the waste receptacles.
• Replace plastic trash bags and can liners at each service occurrence.
• Completes non-routine cleaning according to schedule provided by the Manager
• Handles emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
