Job summary

CCMS & Associates in the Savannah, GA area is seeking experienced residential or commercial field adjusters to join our roster as 1099 contractors. The role involves conducting on-site property inspections, utilizing Xactimate, and preparing loss documentation.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of relevant adjusting experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage time effectively, with access to estimating software and a reliable internet-enabled computer.

Qualifications

• 1 year of first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Own estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus).
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software.
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing officials and inspecting damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report.
• Obtain and interpret official reports.
• Review coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client.
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices.

• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
