Job summary

CCMS & Associates in Lubbock, TX is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster to join our growing team.

You will conduct field inspections using Xactimate, prepare loss documentation, and work with insureds and authorities to assess damages. Must have at least 1 year of first-party adjusting experience and the ability to manage time and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Ability to maintain own estimating software (Xactimate preferred; Cotality a plus).
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software.
• Investigate claims by interviewing insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by inspecting damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation and reports.
• Obtain and interpret official reports.
• Review coverage forms and endorsements and provide a thorough analysis in a captioned report to the client.
• Maintain product quality through compliance with best practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience

• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
