Job summary

Ccms- is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster in Houston, TX to handle field inspections and investigations using Xactimate. This contractor role requires handling Statements of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters with professional communication.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of property adjusting experience, strong time management, and the ability to work independently with reliable internet access and Word documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of first-party commercial or residential property adjusting experience.
• Experience with estimating software; Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus).
• Ability to work with a computer, internet, and Microsoft Word.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Experience in preparing Statements of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters.

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field inspections using Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by obtaining statements and interviewing officials as well as inspecting damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation with a well-supported reserve report.
• Obtain and interpret official reports.
• Review coverage forms and endorsements; provide analysis in a detailed report to the client.
• Maintain product quality by following established best practices.

Responsibilities

• · Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• · Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• · Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• · Obtain and interpret official reports
• · Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• · Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills

• · In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• · Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• · Strong verbal and written communications skills
• · Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required

• · AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
