Job summary

The City of Stillwater is seeking a Water Distribution Maintenance Worker to join the Water Utilities department. The role operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and offers a progression plan with pay increases as skills and licenses are earned.

Starting rate is $16.11 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k, annual leave, sick leave, holidays and personal days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license; Oklahoma license within 30 days of hire.
• Within 12 months obtain Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements.
• Class D Water Operator’s license and Class D Wastewater Operator’s license.
• The City will pay for required licenses and assist with training.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater systems, city streets, parks and facilities.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools as part of daily tasks.

105-26 Water Distribution Maintenance Worker

We are looking for a team member to join our Water Utilities department in the Water Distribution division. This position is Monday through Friday7:00AM -3:30 PM and is part of a progression plan ($16.11 to $22.46 per hour) with defined pay increases as you gain skills and knowledge through on-the-job training as well as specific certifications and licenses. In this position you will utilize a variety of power tools and hand tools to perform construction, maintenance and repairs of water/wastewater systems, City streets, parks, and facilities.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license (must obtain Oklahoma Driver’s license within thirty days of hire), within twelve months of hire you must obtain a Class B CDL with air brake and tanker endorsements, Class D Water Operator’s license and a Class D Wastewater Operator’s license. The City will pay for you to get your required licenses and assist you with training.
