You will monitor, maintain, and repair critical facilities infrastructure to keep customer uptime high and costs in check. The role requires hands-on experience with chilled water systems, CRAC/CRAH units, UPS, and building management systems, plus strong safety and communication skills.

Your role at a glance
The Data Center Technician provides a working level of data center knowledge and is responsible for the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the data center electrical, mechanical, and fire life safety systems. The Data Center Technician maintains and follows the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost‑effective way. Ensures that data center problems are identified and repaired quickly, that contractors deliver quality services, and that internal customer demands are met.
High School Diploma required. Associate’s Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience and a minimum of 2 years in a mechanical/electrical position within critical facilities (preferably a data center, hospital, semi‑conductor, or power plant) required. CPR/First Aid and NFPA70E Certified during employment. Possession of an OSHA approved forklift certification or the ability to obtain one after hire required.

Primarily walking, standing, and bending with some sitting. Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, visual and listening skills Close visual work on a computer terminal. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment as well as to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments. Able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work on raised platform.
Data Center environment with varying temperatures and loud noises. Potential extensive daily usage of workstation or computer. Must work on‑site; no telecommuting permitted.
Must be willing to be part of the after‑hours notification and escalation protocol. Must wear leather close‑toed shoes with a solid rubber sole.
Pay Range This position requires work to be done onsite at a data center facility and may require use of a personal mobile device. A monthly stipend will be provided to cover expenses incurred for using a personal device, if applicable. NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Hourly base salary for this position is $33.00 - $61.25 and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance to local state and federal ‘Wage and Hour’ requirements. All regular full‑time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
