Role Overview

The Java/AWS Software Engineer III is responsible for the analysis, design, development, integration, implementation, and support of enterprise software applications. This role plays a key part in delivering scalable cross‑platform solutions utilizing SAP BTP, Java, ERP technologies, and AWS Cloud services. The position supports application modernization initiatives, including leveraging AI tools and agents to convert Microsoft technologies (.NET/Azure) into AWS/Java‑based platforms. This individual will collaborate with business and technical teams, apply software engineering best practices, and provide technical leadership and hands‑on support for critical business applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and gather functional and technical requirements.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support enterprise software applications.
• Apply systematic software engineering methodologies and CMMI best practices across the software development lifecycle.
• Utilize Agile and Waterfall development methodologies in project execution.
• Deliver cross‑platform solutions across SAP BTP, Java, ERP, and AWS Cloud environments.
• Leverage AI tools and agents for code conversion, application modernization, and process optimization.
• Monitor and optimize cloud environments using Application Insights, AWS CloudWatch, and related tools.
• Configure alerts, perform performance tuning, cost optimization, and security monitoring.
• Support client‑server and distributed architectures, including load balancer configurations.
• Implement and maintain IAM and SSO solutions such as Azure AD B2C, AWS Cognito, Okta, OAuth 2.0, Authentication, and Authorization services.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide technical support for existing applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in business software application development.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS Cloud Platform.
• Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience delivering enterprise‑scale cloud‑based solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud monitoring, application support, and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, client‑server architecture, and load balancing technologies.
• Experience with identity and access management solutions and single sign‑on platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Cloud certifications or other relevant cloud certifications.
• AI‑related certifications or demonstrated experience utilizing AI tools and agents.
• Experience with SAP BTP and ERP integrations.
• Experience with application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
• Knowledge of Application Insights, CloudWatch, AppDynamics, or similar monitoring tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise‑scale business applications.
• Prior experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Automotive, manufacturing, or large enterprise IT experience preferred.

Salary Range

$96,550 -$138,061
