Job summary

Sheppard Pratt School in Rockville is seeking an entry level paraprofessional educator to support teachers and students in a collaborative setting. You will assist with 1:1 and small group instruction, document progress, and help implement adaptive behavior plans.

Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with opportunities to lead activities and grow within our multi-disciplinary team dedicated to changing lives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience assisting teachers and students in classroom settings is a plus.
• Ability to document student progress and follow IEP goals.

Responsibilities

• Support the teacher as a paraprofessional educator or 1:1 dedicated aide.
• Document student progress and provide additional instruction and structure for IEP goals.
• Provide educational and adaptive behavior support.
• Deliver behavior intervention and treatment as needed.
• Lead classroom activities when opportunities arise.
